Training Courses

McCarty Products provides an extensive offering of world class training courses for provisioning paired copper conductors insuring quality service from the Central Office or Node to the jack for POTS, DSL, T1, and IPTV.

The courses are presented on site. Training materials and the McCarty 2000 Resistance Fault Simulator (RFS) are used to train on all test equipment including resistance bridges, open meters, Time Domain Reflectometers, multi-functional test sets, T1 test equipment, ADSL test equipment, IPTV test equipment, cable locators path and depth, earth frames, SIDEKICKS, Pair Checks, OTDRS, fiber splicing equipment, and noise mitigation test equipment.

We train cable maintenance field technicians, air-pressure field technicians, installation repair field technicians, digital work group field technicians, ADSL field technicians, fiber technicians, T1 and HDSL field technicians, noise mitigation field technicians, field managers and field supervisors in all aspects of outside plant.

Our field trainers have more than 30 years in the telephone business and are experts in all facets of outside plant. They are knowledgeable in all facets of outside plant.

All courses are instructor-led, hands-on and we typically require at least 8 students per course and not more than 10. If you are a small ILEC or CLEC, we will set up courses with other small providers in your area.
