Great news (I hope) , we have a 3m rep coming up to 'train' us on field use of the 965 Pro30.
Sure hope its someone who has actual field experience and not just some powerpoint reader.. the last 2 "engineers" were um.. interesting. One knew the design side of the 965 inside and out, but no clue of real world stuff.. the other just read power point pages like it was some book review (we walked out on that poor chap).

Why doesnt a company like 3m have 'trusted' field ppl scattered about (employees of various tel companies ie) that they can 'rent' to share knowledge about stuff ? As an R&D/constructor/vendor of tools, they cant really have people out there doing the work with the tools (they arent a telco/cableco/etc)..

Hi Dave,

Believe it or not, we do have trusted people in the field. The main challenge is to get schedules to meet.

That being said - you can always call the hotline and ask us questions.

Kind Regards,
Gary

Thanks for the reply, Gary.

The fellow that came up was impressive. He knew both the machine and real world situations very well. It was an excellent meeting, and I think most of the guys took quite a bit of information in on it.

He also mentioned that although he isnt directly in the engineering loop for the Pro30 (he's in Canada) , he has read that my 'wish' ( that a new TDR mode of R-G/T-G 'compare' ) is in the list of possible features.

Paolo is awesome and I'm not surprised that you enjoyed the training.

I have talked to you in the past about your use of this feature for grounds. Would you send me an email of the process that you use.
